Cathey, your anger is understandable and likely will take a long time to work through. Wanting justice after such a heinous act is an essential part of civilized society. For me it helps to know that ultimately perfect justice will prevail. Love to you Keith and your family and friends. ๐๐ฏ๐
Gratitude is still my most prevalent feeling. It won't all seem real until we can see the devastation first hand. I'm trying not to look at the photos surfacing as it's just too overwhelming. One day at a time. โฅ๏ธ
I am happy you and your family are safe. No words knowing someone is capable of this heinous act. Let God be the judge, though he needs harsh justice on earth. Let your body and mind be free of pain. You have a gift knowing your family is safe. Blessings and warm thoughts to you and your family๐๐ผ
Prayers for your family and all Spokane. Thank you for sharing as I know itโs a very uncertain time for you guys. May Godโs love and grace surround you and Spokane! ๐โ๏ธ
I heard about the arson suspect on the news this morning and was equally appalled and angered. Why? What would possess such a heinous act against their fellow mankind? I'm struggling to understand and make sense of it. I pray for your family, the people of Spokane, and people everywehre that have lost homes and memories to fires. Time will heal.
So well written and expressed, Cathey. So heartbreaking! I have no adequate words, just prayers and hope that conditions improve and healing begins. โค๏ธ๐๐๐. Prayers for you, your family and for Spokane!
Still praying for you and your family as well as those who have lost everything. So glad that you are OK. I would also be angry knowing someone deliberaly lit one of those fires. Was your son-in law eventually allowed back into the evacuation zone. Take care of yourselves.
Travis got up early the first morning before they shut down the neighborhood so he was able to go into their house to grab a few items. Since that time they are not letting anyone back in till they inspect the area. We are all ok and making the best of things.
Praying that your families home will be safe. My sister, niece and cousin all had to evacuate their homes on Saturday. So far their homes are still there. So angry that this person started this fire that has devastated our beautiful area. Its tough being over here on the West side of the State for a week but the compassion I'm seeing from the communities over here with all the donations being collected is heartwarming.
Cathey I know Iโm late. I wanted to say that my prayers are with you and the whole community in this horrible act by Someone so cruel. You will rise to the occasion Iโm sure . And your community will flourish again. Godโs blessings to all of you.
.y prayers continue for you & your husband, your daughter, son-in-law & family & all in the Spokane community. I live in CA & know how frightening these fires are & these in your area now look horribly destructive. I'm so sorry for such terrible loss & such a fearful time. I pray for calming of the winds, resources to put out all the fires, safety for the firefighters, strength & resilience to rebuild & heal. May God watch over you & give you peace.
Cathey, I can understand your anger over the arsonist. For someone to purposefully start a fire under fire prone conditions is beyond me. They mean to cause harm to both nature, being & infrastructure. So much is lost through one's person act.
It leaves a scar on the earth & the heart. I pray that your family & for all families who are within the affected areas, that they can get through this & heal over time. I also pray for the emergency services who do such an amazing job, that they are kept safe & can take control of the fires. I'm so sorry you are going through this right now. Prayers for all.
Thank you for your kind thoughts, Christine. We hope and pray the worst is over but this is an exceptionally dry summer. Spokane has a lot of recovering to do.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's been a trying few days, but things are starting to look up a bit as far as far as fire containment. Not sure about the Senator, but it wouldn't surprise me. Our kids' home was spared. They just aren't sure when they will be able to go there as there are still areas around them being inspected and dealt with. Thank you for your ongoing prayers!
Continuing to pray for you, your family, and your community, Cathey. You have been hit hard, but I know you will eventually find your way back to peace. To know that some misguided person started the fire is hard to stomach, but if anyone can rise from the ashes, it's you!! Much love...Pam

I had heard of the fires and was not aware that they were so close to you. We have been praying God cover you. Iโm glad he did.
Excellent. Been a week of being on edge

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement, Diana!
Thinking of you constantly. It's so difficult to understand the kind of evil that lit that fire. {{Hugs}}
Cathey, my heart had been with everyone in the Spokane area. Thankful they arrested the culprit and praying true justice.๐
Praying all fires completely extinguished and no further damage.
Did the Senator originally try to say it was due to climate change? Certainly the dry conditions and winds only helped fuel the fire.
The LORD's peace and protection be upon you and your family. I hope the kids did not lose their home.
Hugs.
Deborah

Thank you for your kind words, Pam. It's been very up and down, but I believe good will come.
I won't make any trite remarks here, just want you to know I'm still thinking of you.
