Being out in nature has a way of helping me process life, reduce stress and increase gratitude. Most days I am able to spend some time outside and it makes such a difference in my attitude and perspective. If I can start the day listening to the birds, breathing the fresh air, and soaking up some sunshine, I seem to respond with more patience, more ambition and more inspiration for the rest of the day.
This simple poem came to me one spring morning recently. My recommendation: find a way to connect with the great outdoors. It’s the very best kind of dopamine hit.
Bright sun, eyes closed
Deep breaths, heart slows
Bird songs, light breeze
Thoughts fade, worries ease
Time settles, moments drift
Peace rules, spirits lift
Sacred space, thanks rise
Smile comes, joyful sighs.
Lovely reflection and poem.
I had some great time in the yard today too. Posted on BBQ Chatters
