I love trees. Of all shapes, sizes, and all the many kinds. I love to see them in a backyard, in a park, in the forest or a timber. Whenever I hear of a forest fire, it hurts my heart. It takes so long for their beauty and their growth.

Thank you for sharing another beautiful writing. Blessings friend.

Well written! I love being in nature; it’s where I love spending time with God; I take my silent moments there then I can hear from God better; or I think so! I know I can hear from Him anywhere but it’s something about nature/woods that block all the other noises!!

I agree with you, Laura! Something about being amongst all those trees is so calming and invites us to commune with God.

A beautiful poem that expresses how lucky we are to have some wonderful places in nature. Nature has a power and beauty of its own.

A forest that homes do many creatures and plants that fight for survival, yet can also be a place of peace and serenity.

Your poem brings those thoughts toy mind. Thank you Cathey. 🙏💖🤗.

I missed out on going to Cathedral Grove and plan to go on my trip in 2025.

It's not a huge place, but if you get there, take your time and look at all the amazing ways nature recreates when it is challenged. Read all the plaques and take lots of photos. It's beautiful!

Cathey, this poem is beyond beautiful. Every word, each phrase captures perfectly the essence of the forest. As I read, I feel I've entered this silent sanctuary with you. So peaceful. Such an amazing and much needed respite from everything else going on in my life and in the world. Thank you for this gift...

Hello my name is Deborah and I am a dendrophile. 💕

Cathey your poem is so beautiful. Ah. The forest. If Im feeling overwhelmed or underwhelmed or have some free time the forest is a wonderful place to go. One can almost hear the trees raising their branches to praise the LORD.

Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful poem Cathey. Reminded me of our walk through Cathedral Grove and all those beautiful trees and some unusual shapes where others had fallen and ferns and other plants grew out of them. Thank you for sharing.

None here in Phoenix/Glendale area. However in just 2 short hours I can be up in Northern Arizona & we have lots of forests there. It is a beautiful drive there, too. Haven't been in awhile - something to plan in the spring. 😊

Cathey, loved this descriptive forest poem. As I was reading I envisioned walking quietly through a grove of trees taking in the sounds and smells of the forest. Now I want to take a hike in a Rocky Mountain National Park...but too cold right now...soon though.

Part of what inspired this poem was looking forward to warmer weather. A snowy forest is beautiful but wandering is a little cold!
