Oh the unfathomable plan of God. Years ago I wouldn't have given a lot of notice to this complex issue. And then we were allowed to adopt a Native child who is growing to be a young man. Through his eyes and the surrounding trauma of the native plight, my heart is broken for these people. My nephew and his wife are working in the area of human trafficking and the stories, especially regarding the people of tribes, have broken my heart. I pray my son will be able to impact his reservation in some small way.
Susie, thank you for sharing this. Bless you for making a loving family for your son. There is so much work to be done to heal the wounds of so many, but God can do it with people like you!! Blessings! 💗🙏
I too, am going to purchase the book. I always pass my books on two families and friends, and I shall do the same with this one. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. This just totally breaks my heart to hear of all of the suffering that people have endured in the past and we know that it is still going on. I’m thankful that we have a God to lean on and that we can pray and we know our prayers are being heard. Thank you for your heartfelt story. Again, your storytelling is so amazing, thank you for always doing what you’re passionate about. Blessings to you
Thanks, as always, for your kind words and encouragement. Sometimes the hard stories need to be told and though I like to keep things positive and upbeat here, I listen to what God tells me to write about.
Sad world we live in. Sometimes we just try not to think about things that go on in our world. But that doesn't make it not so. If we can do nothing else pray. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Yes it is horrific and tragic. Sadly though, as someone living in BC and hearing about this and living close to the area of Robert Pickton farm. It is known, tragically, investigation may not be done as fully as it should because oftentimes the RCMP members were implicit. In my young adult years people talked about the parties and how wild and crazy that police officers would be there (Picktons Piggies Palace) with gang members at the same place where indiginous woman were brought in and drugged. Then brutally ... well.. it is all too horrific.
Still throughout the prairies and along highway 16 people go missing.
I think the most powerful thing I can do is pray for lies to be bound and the truth be loosed so justice can be served. I know one day it will be, but it would be nice to see justice in our time.
The Pickton case so many families were not given any justice, despite DNA being found on the property; all because of legalities and the police not doing what they should have. 😢🙏🏼
Just awful these women's families have to still live with that nightmare. Just days ago I drove past the field where Picktons brother still owns and has cattle grazing and several boquets of flowers by family members tied to the fence. His brother was never charged. He was known to be involved but...
Deborah, thanks for sharing your thoughts. As someone living in BC it helps to hear things from your perspective. However, BC is certainly not the only place where these injustices have happened. It's a sad truth here in Washington as well. So many families devastated .
Exactly, the depth of the depravity of some humans is disturbing. I find it puzzling, how it can be so? But then we know there is an enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy. Thanks be to God, who came through Jesus, to give life...
ABUNDANT Life!!! ❤️❤️
LORD we bind the destruction of the defeated enemy and loose the LIFE Jesus came to bring.
Bring healing to all the families that have suffered these tragedies and injustice all over the world.
It's heartbreaking! To lose a child is the worst feeling I've ever known and to not have justice is beyond grief. I hope the way is being cleared to do better.
Wow I have listen one of the victim name Ramona last October on YouTube she was missing 1994 I think and 10 months later they found her body. Wow thank you Ms. Cathey I am ordering her book first at my library if they have it or Amazon . I purge most of the book last year and I already received 14 from Christmas .
It's hard to keep up - so many great stories waiting to be read. Ramona was one of the girls talked about in this book. These losses were so devastating to the families who felt so unheard. Awareness is happening, but change is slow.....
Thank you Cathey! We can't turn our backs on reality no matter how painful it is. In my country the victims of sexual violence are mostly girls and adolescents between 12 and 17 years old.

Heartbreaking and triumphant in the efforts even they’re so much slower than necessary. Thank you for sharing. 🙏
Any progress is still progress.

Cathey, you are a blessing.
Our hearts break
and minds scream
with the injustices
Oh LORD let Your mercy flow
And justice reign
What an chilling story. So sad that people can't be treated fairly. God bless all the missing and their families

Cathy, There is a
“Trail of Tears” in Georgia
The Cherokee Indians travelled from Calhoun, Georgia to Oklahoma where many Indians died.
I've heard of that, Kathryn. I will do a little more research! Thanks!
Very sad to hear, but glad to hear that something is being done to look into the cold cases.
Hopefully they will result in some kind of closure for these families.
I sincerely hope so🙏🙏

It's so sad that it's happening everywhere. This book puts faces on the statistics in a powerful way.
Thanks Cathey for sharing…will look into this 🙏❤️
Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Will definitely look more into this!
Thank you. I have seen the streaming shows, but have never read this book. Will definitely look into it.
