Thank you for your tips. That is very helpful. I have no talent whatsoever in writing. I never know what to write ✍️ I will give it another try in the future!!

I hope you do try again even if you don't want to share it. You are very articulate and I know you have things to say, you just don't know how to say them as creatively as you think they should be. Don't give up!

Thank you for your words to encourage others to write. I have been feeling that I would like to write something but don't know what. Maybe another poem = haven't felt inspired to do that for a while so maybe now is the time to try to do so. Thank you that between you and Graham I am inspired to write.

I do hope you find something inspiring to write about! But it's also ok just to write your feelings. Not everything has to be shared.

Thank you, Cathey, for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us. I used to write poetry many years ago, but somewhere I have forgotten. I have the desire to do so again. It was fun, it was fun to speak what was in my Heart.

But I need a lot of help now, to do so again. Maybe through your guidance and direction I can find what I had before again, and this time better. Thank you for sharing with us Your talent and creativity. Blessings to you.

Just had a chance to read this Cathey. I concur with these helpful hints. Each time I write, I learn something new. I never thought in a million years I had a writer's bug of any kind whether it be a poem, blog, inspiration, or even attempting song writing which is totally different. I'm up for the challenge and am enjoying it. If what I write or share encourages one person, that's a blessing. I'm sure you feel the same way. Thanks again Cathey!

I completely concur, Anne! I don't think I'll ever actually write a song but sometimes I hear my words in music form in my head - lol. I just always want to keep growing and learning as I go.

Great advice and I am trying to start to practise. I usually write and submit just like that. But... as I ponder life as it is in today's world I know I really need to make the words count.

Growing up I dreaded, seriously dreaded rereading most anything I wrote. Perhaps I need to look deeper into the 'why' of that.

Thank you Cathey for your words of wisdom.

Lynn, I love that your are willing to try which also means you are not hopeless! Start small and give yourself all the grace in the world. It doesn't need to sound like anything you would want to share. But I bet you'll find that putting words on paper can be very cathartic. Let me know if you get stuck! I have a truckload of ideas and suggestions.

Cathey, thank you for sharing information and thoughts about writing process and steps to consider when writing. As a beginning writer, it was very helpful. It also took me back to my teaching days, having my first grade students write and re-write with very simple stories. Love the poem as it takes you through the steps.
