Thanks so much, Cathey , for sharing this background on Robert Frost! He certainly had a lot of tragedy in his life! Makes me more aware of others pain in the midst of my own, right now. Sometimes it seems I just begin to work through one painful area in my life, when another presents itself. Becaude of you , THC, GRHAM, KERRY and DONNY

Thanks Cathey! Robert Frost was one of the best. Although, I did not know or couldn't remember a lot of his background regarding his family and such. I totally agree, it's best to always go through and not around, but don't stay in that one place for too long. Thank you for sharing. Take care!

Going around never works - trying to find shortcuts through the hard feelings is futile. Those of us who have been there come to understand, I think. Thanks for reading Anne! Blessings!

You're so welcome! He's a master at expressing his feelings through encounters with nature. And he takes his readers on a journey through deeper meanings without making them mysterious. Glad you enjoyed!

Thank you Cathey for an insight into Robert Frost's life. I can"t imagine even carrying on enduring what he lived through. His poems are so comforting to me.

I love them, too, Mary. Perhaps because of all he went through, he had a more keen insight into the beauty of life as well!

I am glad I know his story thanks to you. It was very dad to hear about the pain he endured.

When I hear stories like his, I'm always amazed at how some people can endure so much and still manage to find a reason to keep going and bring beauty from ashes.

Poetry is so tied within and around emotion. This week I had an idea to treat significant anxiety in a young child. I had them help the child memorize “The Swing”, (Robert Louis Stevenson) then go to a park and experience the words while swinging. Both child and mama said their anxiety went way down!

Poetry touches places that even medication can’t touch.

What a wonderful suggestion for this child/family. I agree that poetry opens up feelings in a way that other things can't. I love reading it as well as writing it!

Ah, you are a writer after my own heart. Robt Frost is my favorite American poet. “One could do worse than be a swinger of birches.” Thanks!

Cathey, you’re awesome. I have always been a fan of Robert Frost’s work. His words just seem to settle over my heart. Thank you for sharing. I also agree with you. After great lost, yes grief is necessary but don’t become rooted. Hugs 🤗

Thank you Cathey, I learned more about Robert Frost than I knew. The sad thing is that the media doesn’t understand poetry and thinks it’s a rhyme thing. My family would not have understood it either. That’s why I consider it so special.

I,, too, believe that many don't take the time to try to understand or appreciate the beauty of poetry. I love reading it as well as writing it! Robert Frost has always inspired me but even moreso now that I know his life story.
