This comment from you makes my heart so happy! I love seeing you spread your wings and be able to take in all the wonder and joy on your trip. Soak it all in!
Cathey great piece of writing. It has really resonated with me deeply as we all go through different . storms in our lives, mine was that of grief. It hasn’t been easy for me the past year since the passing of my parents. There are days that I can’t keep going, I may be smiling and trying to keep it all together but my eyes always say a different story!! I’m lucky to have people in my life who are there for me to support and encourage me to keep going. Keeping busy also helps !! Thank you 🙏💜
Thank you for sharing, Irene. I feel it always helps ourselves and other people when we get honest about what we're going through even though it makes us feel vulnerable and weak (at least it does me). Our eyes do give us away! I hope it's getting a bit easier for you. I lost both my parents within 6 months of each other and it's very tough. Hugs!
I have no words to express or sharing how I feel about this! It is just simply and beautifully written Cathey!! After every storms good weathers come out!! Whisper goodbye to yesterday!! Embrace the present day! Enjoy life as best as you can! Hold on! I love this
Cathey, that’s beautiful! As I was reading it, the words described feelings I had when lost my husband especially line “ wistful smile is a mere disguise” and “ your heart got tossed.” It touched my heart at same time gave me a sense of calm with tomorrow dawn….
When I heard from a friend and he was struggling to smile but his eyes told the true story, I related to those feelings, too, and that's where this poem came from. If we've lived at all, we've been there! ❤️
This is a beautifully written expression of encouragement of hope and love . We all need encouragement from time to time to meet each new day. You have done that in this poem! Thank you!
Cathey was a beautiful poem. Such encouragement in a gentle way for a friend struggling. We all have experienced these storms, but yes there is a new day. Thank you so much for sharing your gift. You always touch my heart when I need it most 🙏🏻😊🧡🤗

Amazing poem Cathey, thankfully I have not had many situations that the poem describes but you so beautifully took on your friends despair from your own heart. The photos are perfect and your prose perfectly captured the storm then the dawn. Thank you Cathey, hope you and your friend are doing well.🙏🏻❤️
Hi Cathey, I don't usually take the time to read poems, but the pictures took me to the poem and the poem touched my soul. Beautifully written. I printed it for safe keeping it.
Beautiful poem. I feel a bit like a phoenix reborn. I started my trip with so much anxiety and then something changed and I started anew.
I've had so much support, encouragement and advice that has helped me through my most anxious and it helped me so much. Thank you Cathey. 💖
