Beautiful poem Cathey. I like “as summer’s heat gives up the fight” and “Surrender comes as first frost sweeps”. This time of year I do feel like we have to just let go of summer and start waiting for spring. It especially true with my beekeeping, there’s not much to do with them for the next few months.
How ironic that I am currently drinking a cup of green tea with Parcher bee honey! I do well through the holidays, but then I have to start counting down till spring to get through January/February. We've had a very beautiful fall, though.
You write so beautifully about Fall. I too see the Creator in the wonders of the season and also in the science behind it all ... which I also see as the work of the Creator that we are actually able to comprehend and understand.
Your poem's last line describes the big change we saw this morning from last night's hard frost. Most of the trees had dropped their leaves except for the many columnar Aspen ... which were radiant gold. Today they have lost their radiance and are browning off.
I'm with you that science is part of creation and does NOT conflict with it. Most of our leaves are pretty sparse now on the trees, because they are all on the ground! Raking in my near future.
Good afternoon Cathey. I love your poem as the summer ends and the fall takes the natures sleep. It reminds me of a fresh start to spring all thats new. It just like us spend time in quite and renew yourself for a new beginning. There is nothing better to start fresh.
Hi Cathey, I’m in England just outside London. Will soon be going to my daughters for a few months in the Caribbean don’t like the cold 🥶 prefer the sunshine 🌞
Your poem is such a beautiful description of the approaching seasons and the beauty and meaning behind each. Your photos are so representative of the physical change. The capture of the water droplets adds a special touch. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day!

Cathey, another lovely fall poem...think you might be a fall girl too!
I'm trying....... 😂 It's what follows that I'm not so enamored with.
Thank you Cathey , you always have the way of putting it on paper that it’s beautiful.
Thank you, Sheila. I sure appreciate your kind words. 💗

Beautiful poem Cathey!!
Thank you, Vivian!
Love your “ flowy” Fall tributes. It’s a very beautiful time of year! 😘
Wonderful poem Cathey! Reading it I felt I was in the middle of this beautiful season. 🧡
Joy comes through fall blessings.
What a lovely poem describing fall and the transition from summer to fall then to winter.
That "w" word! I am never ready.
I don't like winter either. However you have worse winters than we do. I don't think I would survive the snow and freezing temperatures.
Bundling! Not much fun, but necessary.
Thank you for your lovely poem🍁🍁
💗🤗
Another lovely poem thanks for sharing Cathey 🙏🏻Always enjoy💜
